“Without you, I would still be going around to agencies with nothing but my drawings!”
-Betty Adamou, CEO and Founder.
Even though we’re a start-up, we’ve already been recognized for our innovative approach to gaming and research around the world. We’ve been invited to speak at conferences globally and write articles for publications like Quirks, Gamification.co, ESOMAR and GreenBook. Below are some of the accolades we have under our belts so far!Ginny Valentine Awards for Bravery in Research
Research Through Gaming have won the Ginny Valentine Award for Bravery in Research and Entrepreneurial Spirit! Watch the video here: On Tuesday 20th March, Betty Adamou was nominated by one of the Market Research industry’s best known thought-leaders Ray Poynter for her Bravery in Research – and won! A message from Betty, CEO & Founder: “Thank you to everyone who came on the day and showed support, and to the judges, the nominator, the audience and even the Tweeters and Facebook fa
ns from our page for their kind words on the day and for their continued kind words.
Ray did say on the night that some people might have thought I was crazy for starting R.T.G, but it’s my baby and if I’m a crazy mother, then so be it. I have seen Gamification work in Research and I will continue to develop this methodology throughout my career. My aim is to have the industry switch to Gamification, whether I do it or someone else does in order to better the industry at large, and the respondents experience” - Betty Adamou, CEO and Founder.
GRIT Top 50 Most Innovative firms of the Future
At the MRIA NetGain6 conference in Toronto, Canada on the 25th January 2012, Leonard Murphy stood up and opened the conference with thoughts about the future of the Market Research Industry. Betty sat in the audience blissfully unaware that Leonard was about to announce one of the most important accolades of her career and for the early life of R.T.G. When Leonard showed the results for the GRIT Top 50 most innovative firms of the future in Market Research and showed Research Through Gaming on the list, Betty was stunned and extremely humbled. After a short emotional outburst to some friends over text, she resumed her composure and thought ‘right, now what’s next?’. Hopefully we will move up the table in the very near future and be Number 1! A message from Betty, CEO and Founder: “Leonard you rascal. You didn’t tell me R.T.G was on the list and gave me one of the nicest suprises of my life so far. Thanks to everyone who voted for R.T.G. At the time of the announcement, our company was only about 7 months old, so I was HUGELY surprised and flattered. It makes me think of all the things we can achieve, and are already achieving in the next 7 months and these thoughts make me extremely proud.
Thank you to everyone who has been involved in R.T.G since the start including colleagues, friends and family. Without you, I would still be going around agencies with nothing but my drawings for games!
It’s times like that when all the graft, early mornings and late nights fade away and you’re re-energized for the next part of the road. It is so humbling to be in the same category of innovation next to the likes of Freshminds, BrainJuicer and Kantar. Thanks again everyone!”
Research Through Gaming comes 1st place and wins the first round of the Insights Innovation Award!
Last year we asked our Twitter followers, Facebook fans, industry friends and colleagues to help Research Through Gaming win an Innovation Award in Market Research with IdeaScale, a website dedicated to empowering innovation. The great news is that all voters – every single one of you – helped made that happen! Coming in 1st place with 111 votes and a whopping 168 Facebook Likes, plus lovely comments from fellow Researchers, supporters and the judges, we presented our idea in the Top 6 presentations on November 4th 2011 for the chance to win $20,000 to help us grow our business. The presentations took place on www.newmr.org. Unfortunately, we came 3rd place in the second round, which was the final round, but were very pleased with the amount of support we had! Thank you very much everyone!
