This is just a quick post, because I’ve seen that the Association of Survey Computing has advertised a call for papers on behalf of the upcoming conference “Trust, Risk, Infomration and the Law” taking place in April 2015 at the University of Winchester in the UK (about an hour train journey from London) which has been organized and hosted by University of Winchester’s Law – Centre for Information Rights.

The conference couldn’t come at a more appropriate time: 2015 is set to see even more innovations in Market Research and data collection, and especially as the Oculus Rift will be on sale, and we will see many more uses of Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and gadgets like Google Glass collecting data. But what implications does this have on our industry and our participants?

This conference doesn’t look to be ‘just another privacy conference’ no, because the Centre for for Information Rights isn’t even necessarily aimed at market researchers, but has identified four key areas to be discussed described as “Battlegrounds” which are crucial for researchers to be abreast of: Battlegrounds of trust, risk, information and the law in Information, Politics, Technology and Online. Do you have something to contribute in one or more of these Battlegrounds? Then check out the call for papers guidelines here:
